Since 1977, Michael Hoffman, creator of the restaurants bearing his name, built his reputation by serving up Chicago's greatest jumbo dogs, charbroiled burgers, chicken and steak sandwiches. Hoffman turned a 900 square foot "hot dog stand" into a 6,500 square foot food emporium. Michael's features an enormous salad bar over-flowing with fresh vegetables and homemade dressings, as well as an enticing baked potato bar offering creations such as the Potato Ole, Potato Popeye and Steak Teriyaki Potato.
One of the first restaurants of its type to recognize a consumer demand for healthy fast-food fare, Michael's hired its own Registered Dietician to evaluate and design a "heart healthy" menu. Michael's slogan "Not fast food -- good food fast" acknowledges his company's commitment to quality food and courteous service.
With three licensed facilities -- including an off-premise catering company -- Michael's Restaurants can provide a unique backdrop for banquets and private functions of all kinds.
A place of pinstripe suits and sweatsuits...of Levi's and diapers...of young and old: Michael's restaurants have been featured on national television and used for location shots in motion pictures. |
